Team Lead Volunteer

"Even if you make a mistake, a team lead is always there to help you.  They provide us with the direction we need so that at the end of a day, a house gets built." - Neil, build site volunteer

A team lead is an individual that has exceptional people skills, is a born leader and a quick-study who can learn the ways around a build site.  Team Leads are friendly, experienced, patient and cooperative.  More importantly, they are qualified to guide a group of volunteers and oversee their work.  They are our eyes and ears, enabling new volunteers to take risks, to guide green volunteers past their comfort zone all while maintaining all the health and safety standards that are required.  They are the unsung heroes of Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region. Most of our team leads come each and every day putting in a full day's work all completely as a volunteer.  Talk about committed!
